Tab Trade - The Honest Breakdown

TabTrade — The Short Version

TabTrade.com went live in Q1 2026. Trading platform registered in Saint Lucia, regulated by Saint Lucia's FSRA. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, a FMA-regulated broker.

His background matters. It suggests the person running this is not figuring it out from scratch. That is not a guarantee. But more reassuring than a founder with no industry background.

TabTrade came out of the gate with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same data centres prime brokers run on. Most new brokers leads with marketing and bonuses. These guys went the other way. Not the typical playbook.

Market coverage: forex, indices, metals, oil, energies, softs, equities, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. Over 1,000 instruments. For a platform that is a few months old, the breadth is not narrow.

Platforms

You get: MT5, cTrader, and a WebTrader. Two major platforms from the same login. A lot of brokers only give you one or the other. Getting both matters. Pick what suits your style.

MetaTrader 5 is the default. Complete charts, Expert Advisors, massive community. If you know MetaTrader before, there are no surprises.

cTrader is the cleaner option. Better DOM. More responsive charts. Built-in algo trading. Plenty of traders like it better than MT5 after comparing.

Direct FIX connectivity is offered for automated strategies but requires the VIP tier ($25,000 deposit). TradingView charting is said to be in the works. That would be a good addition once it is live.

Costs

Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Zero commission. Straightforward. $0 to start. Suits anyone who does not want to think about commission.

Edge account. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 each way. Total cost: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On majors, the raw spread is frequently below 0.2 pips. Meaning your actual cost per trade sometimes sits under half a pip. That is hard to beat for a broker with $0 to start. Most brokers that have spreads this tight want $500 or more to open. This broker does not.

VIP account. $25,000 minimum. FIX connectivity, sub-20ms execution, tailored rates. Not relevant to the average person. Do not worry about it unless you run serious volume.

How Fast Are the Fills

The speed is where Tab Trade stands apart. Equinix LD4/LD5. Under 30ms on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. Those are proper execution targets. The average platform operate at 100ms to 300ms.

Does it matter? For short-term trading, it does. The gap between fast execution and sluggish execution is profit or loss on tight trades. If you swing trade, it matters less. The point is they invested in proper execution. That signals something about priorities.

Combine those fill times with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and the overall offering makes sense. Hardly anyone in this bracket run Equinix connectivity.

The FSRA Question

Now, the detail that matters. Tab Trade is licensed by Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is tier-3. No FCA. No investor compensation scheme. If that is a problem for you, stop reading. There are ASIC-licensed brokers out there.

That said. The founder came from BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The execution setup costs real money. Scam brokers do not bother with proper execution infrastructure. This does not guarantee anything. It should be part of how you think about it.

What you are accepting: you trade regulatory safety. In exchange: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, fast fills. Whether the trade-off works comes down to your priorities.

The Bonus

Tab Trade offers bonus funds of up to $2,000. Usual welcome offer. You put money in, TabTrade top up your balance. The normal fine print: turnover conditions before bonus funds can be taken out. Read the conditions before funding.
